I’m a writer. I love books and movies and TV shows and music. Currently I am in university, on my way to become a medical scientist, and also working part-time as a nursing assistant and in a bakery. I love sports and good food, especially my Dad’s shawarma and my Mom’s tiramisu and my Grandma’s raspberry brownies, the iced chai late from a very specific coffee shop in Hot Springs, Arkansas, warm weather and watching Formula One. My family and friends are the most important part of my life, and nothing calms and inspires me quite like sunsets and the sea. I am a bit obsessed with recording as much of life as possible, sometimes I think I’m too nostalgic for my own good and I definitely think too much. I’ve changed and I’ve also stayed the same, and through all my life, writing has been a big part of me, it has always been there for me, and I won’t give it up for as long as I am blessed to experience things on this random blue rock in space.

The purpose of this blog is to have a place to collect all my interests, and let me tell you, there are MANY that I never had the time to ‘properly’ pursue. I think anyone who writes can tell you that consuming media is important for that as well, so there will hopefully be a ton of reviews and analyses of books and movies and shows and music coming. I might publish pieces of my current writing from time to time as well. There for sure will be a series on random thoughts and feelings and interests, snapshots of my life if you will, called ‘Off the Record’. And I am really looking forward to writing pieces about science as well, topics that I think are super important and more people should know about.
I’ve also realized that one of my main values, something that is hugely important to me, is connection. Being able to inspire people, and be inspired by them, find people that are interested in similar things and create a community where we give each other reassurance and validation about how we feel, teach each other how we deal with what life throws at us, give each other permission to do something out of the box that doesn’t necessarily fit societal norms, and mainly to make us all feel less alone in this world. A safe space to explore and share.
